FotoFest Literacy Through Photography

Each year, the Literacy Through Photography (LTP) curriculum is successfully implemented to roughly one thousand grade school students and adults across Teaching Artist residencies at Houston area Title I schools and community organizations. The foundation curriculum blends stream-of-consciousness creative writing prompts, social-emotional learning, visual literacy exercises, and photography-based art projects as a means to stretch student imagination, broaden perspective, build creative skills, and further develop their voice.

HCC Media, Visual, & Performing Arts

Houston Community College's Center of Excellence for Visual & Performing Arts offers undergraduate degrees and certificates in preparation for college transfer or work in creative industries. Our programs include Audio Recording Technology, Dance, Drama, Filmmaking, Music, Music Business, and Studio Art & Art History.

Holocaust Museum Houston

Through interactive tours, classroom presentations, and educator workshops, participants can explore the history of the Holocaust through the fine arts. Using arts integrated activities designed for K-12 classrooms, participants will consider the role of art during times of injustice and how to become empowered Upstanders in society today.

HCCC provides a variety of educational programs both on site and in the community to support its mission to advance education about the process, product and history of craft. Stages
Theatre
Stages is a professional theatre located in Houston Montrose area. We create opportunities for students of all theatre arts disciplines to gain practical experience in a professional settings through mentorship and apprentice programs in both the production and administrative side of theatre. Stages offers performances for youth and a summer program call The Young Actors Conservatory.

The Ensemble Theatre
